A blue moon is a rare event, happening approximately every two to three years. The phrase has evolved over time, but it now serves as a reminder of how extraordinary events can emerge from the ordinary. In astrology, full moons represent culmination, clarity, and the potential for new beginnings, making a blue moon especially potent for manifestation and spiritual growth.
Our next blue moon is happening Sunday, May 31, 2026 in the sign of Sagittarius.
With all the Aries energy that has been coming in this year, the additional fire energy can be used to amplify passion and move projects forward, but you may need to balance it with earth to bring in the stability you need for stability, focus, and discipline to bring those projects to completion.
THE QUEST
Sagittarius is known as the sign of exploration, adventure, and the quest for truth. When a blue moon occurs in this sign, it amplifies the desire for new experiences and knowledge. This is a powerful time to embrace your adventurous spirit, step out of your comfort zone, and seek opportunities for growth and expansion.
Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of luck and abundance. A blue moon in this sign can bring an extra dose of optimism and enthusiasm, encouraging individuals to focus on the positive aspects of life. This energy can inspire you to dream bigger, set ambitious goals, and pursue your passions with confidence. All positive things for whatever adventure you set out on.
AN INNER LOOK
The blue moon provides a wonderful opportunity for self reflection and signifies a moment of culmination, making it an opportune time to release any limitations or beliefs that have been holding you back. In the context of Sagittarius, this may involve letting go of fears related to pursuing your dreams or stepping into new experiences. With the heightened energy coming from the Blue Moon, this is a great time to do an inner deep dive and learn more about yourself.
What is it you want to accomplish? What is holding you back?
Are you actively interacting with the world to create something you are excited about? If not, what would you create if you had no limitations?
When you think of your goals, are they your highest excitement and aspiration? Or are you settling for only what you imagine is possible?
Do your thought patterns and actions line up with your goals? If not, what needs to change?
What beliefs to you have that are holding you back from success?
What beliefs or fears are you ready to release that no longer serve your highest good?
Sagittarius values freedom and independence. A blue moon during this time can serve as a reminder to embrace your individuality and pursue your passions without hesitation while still remaining part of the whole of humanity. This is a time to celebrate your uniqueness and honor your personal journey.
