WHAT IS A LINEAGE?
A lineage holds a specific Ray of Creation that is beneficial to the evolution and growth of human consciousness, also known as The Great Work. The main work of a lineage is the increasing of knowledge of spiritual laws and the cause and effect of such forces on progression of the human soul. This knowledge is preserved through both cosmic writing and oral tradition. At this time in human history, knowledge is taught to those who are ready to receive such information by their own request.

An appropriate teacher will appear for the level in which the sincere seeker is at on their journey. This can arise from self selecting a teacher, to synchronicity, to a gut feeling to move in a specific direction. However the teacher comes into the life of the seeker, if the seeker is open to learning for the purpose of growth of the soul and consciousness, the path will always reveal itself.

Energetic CURRENT
If you are studying ritual magic, occult philosophy, hermetiscism, or any form of initiatory magick, this is essential knowledge and is rarely talked about:

In occult traditions, magical orders, and covens, an energetic current is built over time through repeated ritual, shared beliefs, and collective intention. For an initiatory order, this current is grown through collective effort and allows the initiate to tap into power that a solo practitioner does not have access to. This doesn't mean a solo practitioner can't access an energetic current, there is just a limit to the access based on the individuals innate capacity. the Spiritual space is full of gifted people who have never been taught and do hold a lot of individual power.

Initiation is for those who want be of service to the greater whole of humanity, and this requires a great amount of discipline, discernment and sovereignty. The initiate is trained to understand psychic boundaries, where you end and another person begins. we are psychic beings by nature, but we must learn to discern if what we are experiencing comes from the inner plane or outer plane. When you enter someone's field, you are not just picking up information, you are entering an extension of their psyche, their wounds, and their aspirations. This is sacred ground and great damage can be done if the practitioner begins to judge, even silently, the energy they are picking up. The initiate is trained to become the silent observer of energy and to only work on what is being requested. If this cannot be done on a one-on-one basis, or even for just themselves in their own inner world, how can the initiate participate as a world server in the greater collective consciousness of humanity?

After initiation, initiates are given instructions on how to do rituals in a specific way to access the energetic current of that order or lineage. Without initiation, the tools of the lineage may be used with some level of access to the energetic current, but full access only comes through initiation. This is just the physics of things. It could be speculated that this design is there to help bring us to the awareness that we are all one being and we cannot divide ourselves into parts and claim to be whole. As Within, so Without...

TO KNOW
Knowing yourself acts like a compass. You need to understand your motivations, fears, shadows, triggers, core values, and patterns. Without this, your magic can become scattered, reactive, or even harmful to yourself and others. Continual practice, reflection, and honest self-examination develops discernment, the ability to clearly distinguish truth from illusion.

TO DARE
Being daring doesn't mean fearlessness; it means feeling the fear (or doubt) and moving forward with your practice anyways. If fear of failure, judgment, power, responsibility, or the unknown keeps you from actually practicing your magick, the whole thing stalls.

TO WILL
True spiritual work involves a sacred relationship based on respect and equality with the world (nature, spirits, and forces of creation). Therefore, "to will" is often seen as a collaborative, rather than an imposing force. This requires the ability to focus on the intent without being attached to how things happen.

TO BE SILENT
Silence is used to protect and conserve energy for magical or spiritual workings, ensuring that personal power is not scattered through unnecessary speech. Speaking about your practice before it has had time to be stabilizes dispurses the energy into the collective conciousness. The result is often projects being started but not completed because it is unable to gain the energetic charge required to manifest.
Development and training of the soul
The training and development of the mind is the prerequisite, not the end in itself. The mind must be trained to penetrate the inner and outer realities equally as a starting point in training the soul - the director of our experience.

Initiation
INITIATION facilitates greater movement of spirit (light) within the lower aspects of the soul-body, illuminating the foundations of one's reality - beliefs, patterns, programs, personality - and thus results in conscious evolutionary change to once subconscious pathways. You must face what you have been avoiding and master it so you can master your reality. This process must be engaged in consciously to gain true self-mastery.
The benefits of receiving the Light from Initiation is faster spiritual growth and greater adaptability in life. The shifts in the patterns of the inner reality are reflected in changes in the outer reality of the initiate. This is not an ability limited to initiates. Non-initiates may also access these changes, but at a smaller, individual scale as there is a limit to what the individual can do on their own. For a majority of seekers, the self development of the soul and the capabilities of their individual being is more than enough.
Initiates seek to affect greater change on the collective consciousness of humanity, in a positive and ethical way, that extends far beyond what they are capable of on their own. The shifting perspectives gathered by the collective initiatic body provides unique access to new ideas based on the increase in shared perceptions along with new information giving the initiate access to more accurate perception of outcomes and choices that may change one's life.

Initiation facilitates a change in consciousness and access to greater energetic currents. It can be given but never taken away. This is the case for any true lineage as the goal is the growth of consciousness to the point that the human soul is freed from the mind and has clear direct access to whatever 'teachings' they need in order to perform their function within the greater whole of humanity.

To be clear, this is not a tradition of knowledge but an awakening to the remembrance of knowledge that already belongs to humanity. The teachings of the ancient mystery schools do NOT belong to Hierarchy but to Humanity under the inspiration from the Hierarchy. The knowledge is human, the wisdom is hierarchical. The realization and acceptance of this responsibility is a critical part of the initiation of the human race as a whole.
